The Truths We Believe
We believe . . . that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and inerrant as originally written. It is the complete revelation of God’s plan for salvation and the only unfailing rule of faith and practice for the Christian life.
We believe . . . in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is unchangeable in His holiness, justice, wisdom and love. God sustains and governs all things according to His sovereign will for His own glory.
We believe . . . in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His glorious return.
We believe . . . that people were created by and for God; that by their disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice.
We believe . . . the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death.
We believe . . . in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who indwells all believers, giving them spiritual gifts, and empowering them to live the Christian life and do the work of ministry.
We believe . . . that the Lord Jesus Christ has given two ordinances to the church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God. We believe that the Lord's Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of Jesus.
We believe . . . in the bodily resurrection of everyone who has ever lived, the everlasting blessedness of those in right relationship with God, and the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God's forgiveness in His Son.
